AYO experience: Travel bloggers’ tips for overcoming jet lag

If you are a frequent flyer, you are probably all too familiar with jet lag symptoms.
Bouncing from one time zone to another in a short period of time may throw off your
biological clock, which controls your basic sleep-wake cycle.
Disturbed sleep, daytime fatigue and irritability are common symptoms you may experience when travelling across multiple time zones. Jet lag is hard to avoid, but you can prevent it from ruining your trip. How?

The US travel bloggers, Alexis and Bertaut, have tested out AYO on their long-haul trip from Washington D.C. to Dubai, Oman, Maldives, Hong Kong, San Francisco, and back to their home town in Baltimore.

The beauty of these glasses is that you can wear them anywhere and anytime since they do not distract your eyesight. We used them driving from Dubai to Oman after a 13 hour flight when we should have been sleeping according to our internal clocks, although it was daytime in our new time zone. The glasses kept us from falling asleep at the wheel and helped us adjust to the new time zone. We take road trips often with our kids, so these glasses will come in handy for those long drives to keep us from nodding off at the wheel.
We’ve also worn our blue light therapy at home while reading, doing chores, on flights (all the flight attendants wanted a pair on our Emirates First Class flight), while watching TV, and even while out and about. I had my blue light glasses on at the bounce house soon after getting home from Hong Kong. I got some curious looks from people, but I felt energized enough to bounce with my kids afterwards. Even 6’6 Bertaut joined in on the bouncing fun!
